I opened a 2yr contract with ATT on March; got an iPhone 3GS 16GB.

What would you do if you really wanted a 4G (I like the new camera, HD Vid, + screen rez) but were ineligible for an upgrade?

I was thinking of upgrading to a 32GB iphone 3GS and selling it it NEW on ebay; paying the difference to buy a 4G.

A friend suggested terminating my contract and incurring some fees...

help?

I would suggest complaining and being the squeaky wheel. My buddy managed to get his out of return policy 3gs returned and the credit applied to the iphone 4g.

Women excel in this regard.

Do whatever you think will be cheapest. If you think you can get enough for the 3GS to bring the 4 down then go that route. What is your current ETF? Also keep in mind you will not be able to buy an iPhone 4 outright at launch, they make those folks wait until supply catches up to demand. They want to cash in on people signing new contracts at launch.

Hehe this might work. I did it with my PS3. I had it for 2 months and the Best Buy manager was annoyed enough at my insistance that he let me swap it for a PS3 Slim :D

Nevermind....you just want the phone and don't care if AT&T has 4G yet...now I see.

There is no such thing as an "iPhone 4G" but you might have some luck at stores that carry the iTouch.
