Hey guys,
Well I forgot to press F6 when setting up my new Win XP install and it installed the native Highpoint Drivers. NP -- I figured I would just manually install the latest Highpoint divers later. But ...
When I go to device manager and use the "update driver" feature on the Highpoint Contoller -- and direct XP to the folder where the latest drivers are -- it simply says that it cannot install the drivers because it could not find a better match than the current ones. This is really bugging me -- these are the latest drivers I am wanting it install and are almost certainly a better match.
Besides -- the Hercules GTXP does not get along well with the older Highpoints, but likes the later versions just fine.
OK, so how do I get WinXP to install the newer Highpoint Drivers (v.2.31 -- for XP of course)? BTW, I tried uninstalling the driver -- but then it just reinstalls the same old drivers, and never lets me use the newer ones.
Thanks.
