Gigabyte GA-7ZXR
1.33 GHz T-bird
768 MB PC-133 SD-RAM
Win98 SE
BIOS ver. F9
For the last few days, when I turn on my trusty machine, it comes up beeping in need having the CMOS reset. I can turn if off for a few hours, come back and turn it on, again, and it's fine, but every morning for the last few days, it wakes up with BIOS Alzheimers.
So far, I have replaced the battery (which measures good with a volt meter) and reflashed the BIOS with the same version I have been running.
The only other thing I can think of is that the CMOS EPROM is going bad. Any other ideas?
TIA
