help!! i have questions.....

ok im building my first computer and im in need of some assistance...bear with the questions as some may be dumber than others...
i bought a lian-li pc60-usb case and i have an epox 8kha+ motherboard...im using an athlonXP 1800+ retail as my processor...
i have a dvd rom drive, a plextor 24x, a 60gb maxtor ata133 hd, an internal ide zip 250, an internal jazz 1gb scsi, a floppy, an ati 8500dv, a enermax 350watt ps, santa cruz sound card, a linksys nw card, an adaptec scsi card, and 2x 512 kingston ddr2100...
finally........

1) ok first question is since my secondary ide is being used by my dvd and burner and my primary ide has the hd on the master and its an ata133 drive (even tho my board only supports ata100) if i stick the ziip as the slave on the primary will it slow my hd down to the zip drives speed??

2) does anyone have any pictures or detailed instructions of how to connect the 4 usb ports that are on the front of the lian li case to my motherboard...will the motherboard have any problems using all 4 of these ports?

3) i bought a retail athlon xp 1800+...is it normal that the instructions say that you have to take off the protective film off of the heatsink before installing it and when i went to remove it, it was already gone?

4) on the epox board there is a jumper that you need to set your cpu clock speed to either 100 or 133....would my 1800+ be 133?

5) inside the lian li case comes a box with some extra power cable extension...does anyone know what this is for or is it just an extra cable extension?

i think that is it for now....if anyone could help me with these things i would really appreciate it....

There is an answer to this question somewhere in the FAQs, but I will sum it up by saying that all new devices have independent controllers, so putting an ATA33 device on the same channel as an ATA133 device will not slow down the faster device. With that said I will suggest that you put your DVD-ROM as slave to your hard drive and the Zip as slave to the CD-RW because that will keep the CD-RW on a separate channel from the two devices you will be burning from most - namely your hard drive and your DVD-ROM.

I don't have any pictures, but it should be simply figuring out which sets of pins are set up for that on the motherboard and putting a plug from the case onto those pins in the right orientation. Not too many ways to screw it up.

The protective film it is talking about is a piece of tape covering the thermal pad. That was already gone when you got it??? Is there a thermal pad? If there is still a thermal pad and it looks relatively clean, you should be okay to install it as is. If there is no thermal pad, you should probably get some thermal interface material (Arctic Sliver II) to replace it.

Not sure about this one, but most of the cases I have used (not ever used Lian Li) have had a box that had the actual power cable in it (not an extension) along with a lot of other pieces. Is it this maybe???
