What do I do? Can I buy some kind of adapter, or do I have to buy a whole new SCSI card? I like the DIamond dual channel FirePort40 card, and really dont want to spend more money on another card.

If anyone knows, please tell me what connector I need to buy.

The HD is a Fujitsu 10K LVD 18.1 gb hard drive, model number MAG3182MP

Thanks in advance.

The Fujitsu 10K LVD 18.1 gb hard drive, model number MAG3182MP, should be backward compatible with the Fireport 40, which is a U2W host adapter card. You will not need any adapter between the card and the drive. Just use regular UW (68-pins) SCSI cable.

If you want better performance, you should invest in an Adaptec 29160 host adapter. Buy the OEM kit version which will come with the LVD cable.
