These following terms deal with laser theory! can anyone shed light on these terms?????!!


Lamb dip, q-switching, mode locking, homogenous/inhomogenous saturation, 3/4 level lasers, population inversion.

helpppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp anyone?

this is what I get for not going to class the last 4 weeks.:(:(

well, i can answer 2 and maybe 3

homogeneous - Mixture that appears the same throughout
saturation - Containing the maximum amount of absorbed solute
inhomogenous - probably opposite of homogeneous which is a hetrogeneous ( mixture that does not appear the same throughout )

The difference between a homogenous and a hetrogeneous is the appearances ( im pretty sure... )
