help! I can't write in my IE browser and windows explorer

When I press any key in IE window or windows explorer, I always get the waring window
"IE encounters an error and will be closed." Then IE or windows explorer will be closed.

I have Windows 2000 professional on my PIII 933 computer. Any suggestion or comment?

go to windows update and see if you can update IE

if not, re-install IE

I am having the exact same problem. I tried updating IE but that didnt help. I cannot find how to uninatall IE, in the add/remove programs under Add/remove windows components all there is is an option to remove IE from the start up and shortcut bars. ( im in XP).

Pleas help us! This sucks!
