Help! i can't POST!

i can't do anything on my athlon 650 with an asus k7m. this happened after i set my memory to cas2 using 256 MB of rev.1.5 mushkin ram, so i don't know what the problem is. When i turn on my computer, the HD light stays on, and i do not POST... i cannot even get into my BIOS at all. Anyways, i need to know how to remedy this problem, so if anyone knows how to reset the bios or something... ANYthing to get my box up and running again, i would appreciate it alot. Thanks in advance.
 
To reset the BIOS you need to short two solder points on the board. On that board they are labled R182. They are located b/w PCI slots 3/4 towards the front of the board.

Make sure the machine is off.
 
thanks, but how do i short the board? i've never done this before, so if someone could instruct me step by step, i'd be grateful.
 
Try holding down the insert key, while powering up. Hold it down first, then power up while holding it....about 10 seconds, it should come back up.
