Well it has little to do with being a Trekkie (btw I'm a Trekker not a Trekkie ) SOL is widely know to be the scientific name for our sun outside of sci-fi circles.

Unfortunately canon has to be thrown out the window as of the new Star Trek movie.

Well, technically not really -- keep in mind that the new ST movie resides in a parallel timeline, so the canon for the original timeline should be intact.

But if this applies to the new ST movie, you're right. I was wondering if maybe this is the map for the new STO game.

Fantastic colour reproduction. But they have a history of issues with chromatic aberration. Probably long since been fixed though.

Go straight down the vertical axis from Sol, find the fourth concentric circle emanating from Sol, and head right a little. Maybe I should go THERE for my next vacation....
