What kind of motherboard? If it can't be disabled in the BIOS, then there may be a jumper setting that will do it. Or some boards automatically disable it if you install an external AGP adapter.

Just disable it's profile in My Computer Properties, Device Manager. I've done several upgrades this way. Some computers don't have a jumper or a shutoff in bios. I've done PC100 boards and Gateway computers this way. They work fine with new graphics card and are not hindered by old card.

perhaps if you try to pry off the graphics chipset with a screwdriver .. that will work ?

or as you would say

PRY IT OFF WITH A SCREWDRIVER NOW WHAT???

Really there should be a jumper on teh mobo if you cant disable it in bios ... or like was said before ... just disable it in windows ...
