Help! I can;t play morrowind, keeps crashing. **EDIT been working for 3hrs still no go**

It crashes like 10mins into the game, sometimes sooner.
It's mah main rig in prof.

PSU is a Antec TruBlue480w and i have 7case fans (4out 3in). With stock intel cooling so thats not an issue.

No OC, soooo what can i try?
 
Bump- When i just tried i got off the boat and then the screen was black+ unresponsive. And it was makin the highest pitch sound i ever heard.

My ears are still ringing.
 
morrowind was buggy did you try the patches for the game yet here

latest cats from ati etc?

it runs fine on mine but only after those two modifications i listed above

It's German or somethin, maybe Dutch? Any Eng Patches? I'm not much of a German reader/speaker

EDIT: just installed the latest 3.5cats from the last ones
 
Bump- got the patch and it crashed again, would switching it to like win98 compatibility help at all?

EDIT: says it can't load some cursor thing, now it wont even start-up GRRRR i wannt play MW
 
Bump compat didnt work, patch wouldn't install, MW won't work, MW won't launch, MW wont unintall, MW won't intall, I can't find any MW files on my PC. MW is in the intalled prog files.
 
THe game sounds f***ed. It really does lol....wont install unintsall start up....delete the dir if you can and install again.
 
K i got it completly off and reinstalled, but i keep getting black screens after the 1st load (getting on the deck of the ship)

GRRR!!! What can i do? This is really makin me mad. I get no signal on my moniter when it crashes. Whats goin on?
 
what video card you have? it may be a problem with the pixel shading on the water. try turning off pixel shading (its under the options menu on the menu before you load the game)
