Help: How to Play Warcraft 3 online not using Battlenet

I purchased Warcraft 3, but I can't log on to BattleNet. I downloaded the update, but I'm not able to get on to Battlenet to play multiplayer. Is there another way to play online without using battlenet? Also, I heard that the performace is fairly laggy on Battlenet. Will Gamespy work, or is there another program to use to connect me to an online server other than BattleNet? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I suggest you edit your post...piracy isn't supported here, so I wouldn't speak openly about it.
You could've at least made an excuse like battle.net is laggy for you.

1st: if you sing the famous pirate song from monkey island 3.
2nd: if you talk like a pirate, example: arrr mate! I asked for a bloody rum, not plain ol grog! blast ye fool!
once u get the members drunk and cheer them up with a song, then u slip in your request and they'll be glad to help.
