Hi Fellow ATers,

I am not sure which fan I would need for my process which sits on the ASUS P3V4X motherboard. The fan that I need to get is socket 1 or socket 370 fan?

You can get any socket 370 FCPGA Pentium 3 CPU, which I think Intel stopped at 1.2 GHz. What you cannot use is a Tualatin P3 CPU. Check this link and ignore all items that have "tualatin" in the name at all. Also ignore items with a 100MHz FSB. If you boss is paying, get the 1.0GHz P3....

Do i need to upgrade the bios in order to upgrade to 733mhz? because i have some bad luck with upgrading bios so i kinda want to stay away from that... if possible.

No. The board should do the 133Mhz speed from it's stock bios. That's all it needs. The motherboard doesn't really care what speed you end up with. It just has to be a socket 370 FCPGA CPU like MazerRackham mentioned.

Hi, I have a problem again. now, if i need to a get a fan for it do i just get a cpu fan that fits in a socket 370?
