A Chinese friend of mine cooked me a tofu dish and I thought it was excellent. I decided to be adventurous and buy some at the grocery store. Unfotunately, I don't know how long to cook it or what to make. Anyone have tips or quick and easy recipes they like.

yup, gotta deep fry it or it just comes apart. either that or add it at the very end of whatever you're cooking

Wait - tofu is pretty darn good for you but wouldn't deep frying it negate any health benefit?

not if you do it right. oil doesn't get into the food until steam stops coming out of the food

J/K :D Try here, or here, hell, quit being so lazy and just google "tofu recipes"

I can easily get a list of recipes via google (which I did). I always think its better to get recipes and reccomendations from people who have tried them. I could pick a random recipe that tastes like ass and that would just...well...ruin dinner ;)

True, but you can basically tell whether or not a recipe is going to taste like ass or not by looking at the recipe. For example
this recipe looks pretty good, and this one looks like a stinker.

? tofu takes on the flavor of whatever you cook it in. if you eat it raw then it is not as appealing.

Cube it into .5" cubes. Put Teriyaki (sp?) sauce in pan. Heat pan. Fry tofu in sauce on high until it caramelizes. Add to rice with your favorite vegetables.
