Hi...I have a HP ZE4125 and when I am using the AC adapter I would prefer full speed instead of the speed stepping to conserve power...How can I do this?

I tried a search but could not find anything...though I know this has been asked because I saw a thread before

IIRC, go to control panel and use the "Toshiba Power Saver" applet. Select the profile you want to change in the "AC power" section, and move the bar in the processing power to 100%.

Normally, the Intel Speed Stepping utility is OFF when you are on the A/C adapter. It normally only works when you are on battery - and that is good.

that would be nice but with th HP it shows speeds of 653/918/1.39 ghz...even on the AC adapter so it is speed stepping..seems the only way to change this is set it to be always on but I would rather have some adjustments even with the AC adapter to leave it on and let standby etc work if not in use but come back and still run at full 1.39 ghz(it is a Athlon 1600)

Thanks
