Help! how can I get wine to work in mandrake8

Hey everyone, I'm a new suscriber to anandtech forum, and I hope all you brainiacs out there can help me with this one. I've recently installed wine on mandr8k distro., and can't seem to get it up and running. I used RPM to install the packs from disk2 (ext). I simply can not configure it, because I am a newbie to the OS. Yes I was and still am MSwindows bound. Please help.

it was hard for me to figure out too... you have to edit wine.conf (I believe thats what its called). Try "man wine.conf". read the whole thing for a reasonable understanding
