Let's make St. Patrick's Day even more stereotypical.
That's like saying "Let's make 4th of July even more stereotypical" by buying fireworks and having a BBQ

Maybe if you're a little girly boy that doesn't drink any beer at all.
At least tell me you don't think Coors/Bud/Miller are good, and all will be forgiven

Arrogant Bastard Ale is pretty good, but most of the time I drink IPA or ESG from a local microbrew called Terminal Gravity.
I have given Guinness several tries but every time no matter how I drink it that stuff always tastes like shit.

I like Guinness but nothing compared to home town breweries. Actually anything commercial just cannot stand the might of local breweries.

As my birthday is on St. Patrick's day, I would love for it to be made an official holiday. Unfortunately, I am not 21 and cannot sign the petition. It's up to you guys!

No, St. Patrick's Day is NOT an official holiday in the US. Some parts of Canada, and of course in Ireland it is an Official holiday. St. Patrick's Day in the US is considered a traditional or religious or ethnic holiday. These types of holidays are rarely observed by businesses as holidays. What the Proposition 317 is trying to do, is make it recognized by the federal government and businesses as a holiday.
There are NINE times more people with Irish heritage in the US than there are in Ireland. They get it as a holiday, so why not us?!

Because until not too long ago you Irish were considered an inferior minority.

I'm not sure how this is any different than Hallmark, et al commercializing Valentine's Day. I'd sign it, if part of the goal was to give men a holiday where they can demand to be fussed over by thier SOs.
