Well I just received my new dell 1702 fp monitor. Its 17" - Im flying tommorow to London for Xmas, Id really like to pack this flat panel some way so I could take it carry on luggage on the plane - any ideas would be greatlty appreciated? Is there a case you know of?

Thanks

grab a hard cover suitcase, and pack it in w/ styrofoam peanuts, after wraping it in w/e it came in the original packaging

From the Dell 1701 FP sitting right in front of me, eyes glued to it, I doubt that you can take it apart. Just put it in the box - The packaging was more than enough for UPS' football style handling.

Thanks to all who replied. Im now in London and the flat panel is fine :) I took the screws out the back, separated it from the base, slipped it into an oversized padded computer case (with adjustable straps for height varying - got it for $30 !) and Virgin Airways let me bring it on board as carry on luggage. Ive now assembled it again, changed the voltage via an adaptor, and the dell 1702 fp is working perfectly. Its lovely!

HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!
