I have the store bought full blown version but it won run!
It says "pereformed illegal bla bla,...shut down!"
My system exceedes all the requirements: 1200MHZ AMD Athlon,512MB DDR ram,16 MB Voodoo 3 3000 video(problem here?)
There is an issue with the video card, but it says it just wont show some textures right when in night vision mode.It should still run the game just fine.
I upgraded to Direct X 8.1 and resterted my PC,but no go.Uninstalled it,re-installed it...nothing.
Uninstalled it again and downloaded the Demo and heres what I got again:

GRDEMO caused an invalid page fault in

Any Ideas?Do I just need to get off some cash and get a new Video card? Its a PCI card by the way if that matters.
Thanks guys and gals.Im clueless.:disgust:

Well, the V3 3000 is DX 8 compatible.. I have heard of a few problems with this game... I would chalk it up to poor programming, since the V3 3000 is known to have nice, stable drivers.

Ok try this:
Hit CTRL+ALT+DEL once
Close everything you have running except Explorer & Systray.

If that works, then you one of the programs is causing a conflict.

I believe you need a new video card. My roommate had a Voodoo2, and got the same error. I scored him a free Voodoo5, and all the problems went away.

Before you go running out to buy a new video card, try the latest drivers from VoodooFiles, they might just do the trick.

yep I have the same problem with the demo, mission starts to load then locks up. I think this maybe a sound card/driver issue. I got it to work once by turning off eax sound and enabling alnerate sound cache. I also was using low graphics settings..............you know when you going into a game and see creative labs advertizing on the sound setting options page your in trouble......next.........no biggy me NO buy game ......LOL;)

I have the game running much better now, this game reminds me of tribes2, touchy touchy touchy. one little wrong setting some were and it's crash city. still no patches? I only have the demo. I have it running at 1280x1024x32bit now but it still crashes once in a while. I had to make a bunch of sound setting changes in my system tools, that was a big problem, I think? now i have slight graphics problem

a good video card is a must for this game......

also a lot of guys i play with that are having problems dont have enough memory.

if you have enough memory and you dont have 14 things running in the backround , you should be ok here.

Ya I have Operation Flashpoint, you can't jump in that either but who cares, there is no need to jump over anything.

THAT IS TOTALLY STUPID ESPECIALLY WITH THE WAY THESE GAMES LOOK!!I MEAN GHOST HAS GREAT POTENTIAL BUT THIS NO JUMPING THING IS RIDICULOUS THANK GOD FOR RTCW!!!ITS NOT AS"REALISTIC"BUT THEN AGAIN I THINK THE SOLDIERS IN AFGHANISTAN ARE JUMPING OVER DEAD TALIBAN!!SO MY ADVICE IS:

DONT BUY A VIDEO CARD GET A NEW GAME!!IN FACT YOU COULD GET A FEW......

Looks like your keyboard is broke, might be time for a new caps lock key.
What kind of tactical officer jumps with 100+ lbs of gear on his back? Do you know anything about tactical games, or have the Q3 and CS crap spoiled you?
Generally the idea is to stay low and out of sight, not jump up and down like a reject. I love Operation Flashpoint.

yes ill agree with you on that one...but also every soldier does not have 100lbs of gear and even if he does they can still jump a little and if that is the case what do i have?on my screen all i had was 2 guns!!and then they should make it so you could load up certain stuff and then you would be able to jump according to how much weight you had on you.....

THE REASON YOU PROBABLY CANT JUMP IN GHOST IS THAT NEITHER CAN TOM CLANCY!!

any war game that limits movement isnt reality based and thats the truth so maybe ill start a thread on this...

What part of the game do you have to jump in? These aren't like puzzle solving games, where you have to jump onto a box in the middle of nowhere and then jump again to get a powerup. If there's a part where you have to go, there's a ladder or something more realistic to get you up there.
I've taken basic training, and not once did I have to jump up onto something. Lots of climbing, swinging, running, crawling, etc., but I can't think of a situation where a soldier would need to jump? If you have to jump onto the back of a truck in operation flashpoint, it takes care of that for you.
Tell me where in a tactical game you should NEED to jump, and I might change my opinion.
