HELP! Getting errors when trying to install windows98.

Recently I just got a virus, and I figured the best thing to do would to just format my hard drive. Unfortunately, I keep getting errors after I choose the directory where I want to install win98. I've tried installing from 3 different cd-roms and 3 different win98 cd's. I'm typing this from my old p2 350 which installed win98 flawlessly with one of the cdroms and cd's that wouldn't let me with my current system. I have an epox motherboard (8kta+). I'm getting errors like kernal.dll and some others I forgot to copy down. I'm thinking maybe something on the motherboard was infected? If anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate them. Thanks.

Have you deleted all the partitions, so there is no data on the drive what so ever?
If not you should do so.

If you already Fdisk and Formatted the HDD, Go back in the Bios and make sure you set it to default settings and make sure the Bios Anti Virus option is disabled until you get the OS installed. If this still does not solve the problem then you will have to open the case and remove all the cards except for the video card and then try again.😎

I just took out all my cards except video and switched to the ram sticks I used on my p2 350 and it installed ok. Wierd.
