HELP!!! geforce4 ti4400

i just got my geforce4 ti4400 in today for the comp im building, its all that was lacked... so i plugged everything in and turned comp and monitor on and monitor says "no signal" i tried removing it and putting it back in but no help...any ideas?

If it's an AGP card, did you set your CMOS to recognize the AGP slot, first? Also, double check that your cable is well connected at both ends.

how do i set my CMOS to check my agp slot? i cant get the monitor turned to work it only says "no signal" argh this is annoying

If you have any other video card around, or you can borrow one from a friend, plug it in and see if it works. If so, I would say you have a bad card. 🙁

well first u needa dif card to set up with so u can get into the bois then check your mobo manual for agp settings than try the ti and see.that psu may not be enough as is.the card might also be doa.did you ground yourself BEFORE you installed it?? static can kill components you know.even very very small amounts.

This is a new system that has never been run? If so, it is likely something else that is not working.

Does the system beep and actually power up? Take out everything but your RAM, CPU and video card and see if that boots correctly.

My bet is that your PSU can't pump enough amps for the 5V line. The exact same thing happened to me with a Pentium 4 system I was building. Everything started up except the video card. Of course, it was a low 12V line instead of the 5V line.

Have you cleared your CMOS yet? I just built a new Athlon XP 1700 rig with a GF3 Ti-500 that was already working. Something didn't like the AGP 4x setting and it wouldn't boot with the no signal warning. I cleared the CMOS and went to the defaults and it booted fine.
