Recently, every time I start a game - any game - my system freezes after only a few minutes. The screen will freeze, blur, and the sound will stutter. I have noticed this problem only with games and other types of software are left unaffected.

I have a P3-733, 256 MB RAM, and a 64 MB GeForce 2 MX 400. I'm running WIN XP.

I have downloaded the latest detonator drivers, but this does nothing to remedy the problem.

I'm at my wits end here! Please help! TIA!

Could the problem possibly be heat related ? Have you checked that your fans are all still running ok & nice & clean?

I had a similar problem where just about every game I played crashed in some way (freezing, CTD, blue screens, etc.). Turned out to be defective RAM (Crucial, no less :Q). So test your RAM and try swapping it with a different stick and/or using a different mobo slot (since your slot could also have gone bad).
