Help from other nations?

I've seen many Americans asking for help from other nations as U.S has helped many others. I agree with that. Although, U.S has done some harms to some countries, it is, without a doubt, true that U.S did world a favor in that sense.

However, U.S is the country that spends billions and billions of dollars creating a war that most of the world were against. The world is amazed how many men U.S is wasting/money U.S is wasting.

After the terror, U.S took away some important parts of citizens' rights in the name of safty. Goverment came out with rules that require so much money. People went for it in the name of safty. Above everything, safty has become the major issue of all and that was what Bush administration promised.

Now, what is this mess in NO? Where's the fast/efficient/money sucking disaster control that was promised? What is Bush administration doing? Somebody tell Bush administration that they can blame Iran/North Korea over this and that they can invade those countries once NO is settled down. I bet that'd make fast/efficient changes.

Back to the point. Would you feel like sending some dollars if Bill Gates got some issues in his house? I say you should as Bill Gates has helped others and maybe you. But, would you feel like doing so, especially all Bill Gates is doing for that matter is just talking about it while he's damn busy chocking other companies?

Ummm about 13 countries have already offered us help buddy. They include England, Germany, and a lot of the nations we helped out during the Tsunami. We have turned down their help, because we can deal with the problem ourselves. If we were to get other countries involved, it would take preparation, flying time and planning. We probably wouldn't see another countries help for at least a week if we got it. It's not like we have other countries military bases in our country, like we do in 3rd world countries, where where they can respond almost immediatley with military support. We are the United States, we have the resources here already.

And do you understand that we couldn't get throught the roads, as asphalt was coming up from the flood waters. In my mind, the Federal Gov't didn't delay any service to these people, they had trouble trying to figure out a way to get in. Maybe you would understand if you had to lead a convoy of National Gaurd trucks into a city that is under 5 feet of water.

And don't even bring politics into this. We have reserves at home ALWAYS to deal with disasters like this. If the Iraq troops were here, they wouldn't even be deployed into the Katrina disaster area.

Can't people just leave the politics out of this disaster? At least until we get things straightened out? People are dieing over there and all some people can do is play the race card, or blame this tragedey on someone. How about instead of waisting your efforts on that, go down there and help them rescue people. If you can't, then please, just keep your mouths shut.

And I really don't get what you asking about Bill Gates. Maybe if you replace "Bill Gates" with the name of some forelorn 3rd World Country, and "problems in house" with "Tsunami"... then yes, yes I would.

Nice rambling...could you rewrite what you're trying to say coherently so we can understand whatever nonsense you are trying to convey?

As my ma always said, never do a favor for anyone if you expect something in return. Let whatever you do be from the kindness of your heart. Having said this, if other nations want to offer assistance I think we should take it. I haven't seen any corrobaration yet, but I think Iran offered some help too.

Maybe he should do his research. Bill and Malinda Gates give a LOT of monetary support in the US and abroad. Even heard of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation? Link

Bill Gates made a very compelling case for keeping the estate tax, arguing that one important reason that the super-wealthy have been able to make/keep vast sums of money is that they are fortunate enough to live in America. And, as good Americans, they owe some of their wealth to the country that made it possible for them to become so wealthy.

FYI - only 2 percent of estates owe any tax, and the first $1 million for individuals, or $2 million for married couples, is tax-free. So, if you leave $1,000,001 to your heir (after deductions for charity), your heir is responsible for only 18 cents in taxes.

Regardless of what you may think of MS products, Bill and Melinda don't ignore those less fortunate than themselves.
