I need to know if you will test your Ram as a study. Several people have found memory erros running an extensive memory checker. These erros seem to go away if the FSB is underclocked. Most all that I have talked to about this are running ECS K7S5A, so it would be interesting especially if some non-ECS guys would run the test. Oh, most people who have noticed this are running Crucial DDR PC2100, not that it's more prone to erros, it's just what most are using.
Please let me know in this thread if you found errors, at what clock speed, timing, brand and speed of your ram.
You can download the free software HERE...
If you are running WinXP or WinME, you need a DOS bootable disk. A small and simple disk can be found HERE...
My results so far look like this:
FSB/DRAM -- 138/138
Timing -- CL2.5T/6/3 ULTRA
Failed 3 of the tests
FSB/DRAM -- 138/138
Timing -- SPD/6/3 ULTRA
Failed 1 of the tests
FSB/DRAM -- 138/138
Timing -- SPD/6/3 FAST
Passed all tests
FSB/DRAM -- 133/133
Timing -- CL2.5T/6/3 ULTRA
Passed all tests
Mine seems to be one of the better performers, some folks are getting the errors at any 133/133 setting and actually having to go to 100/100 before the errors stop.
