Well, summer has come and my friends have decided that they wanted to make a movie. They want to make an in-game movie but they havent decided which game. We were thinking about making it in Tribes 2 but that would be hard, we want something easy. Any advice from those people who have done this?

Something where you could program character gestures like in the Unreal engine maybe?

Talk to the people at the Red vs. Blue forums, they're the leaders in this area.

You can try any HL mod. However, I prefer the easiest for in game movies: TFC.

It's very simple to manipulate and there are tons of guides online.

Perhaps you can link the guides?🙂

I was thinking Battlefield 1942 with the Desert Combat mod, but I don't know any commands to spectate, disable the hud, record a demo, etc.

unreal engine would probably work well. Like in UT2k4, it comes with the editor and everything so you can create characters, vehicles, gestures...it will be a LOT of work to make a really good movie though, no matter what game you pick.
