Recently I had a free internet provider called Worldspy... Worldspy.com. Every time I loaded my IE, it prompted me to download new Juno software from their website. I deleted worldspy, cleared history, and deleted internet files. Now, when i log in (using different internet), when I try to go to certain websites, IE takes me to worldspy (which I no longer have). Luckily, it doesn't do that with Anandtech. Please help, I can't even visit my RC5-64 stats page!

Did you go to Windows Update and redownload and install IE 5.5?
Backup your favorites just in case.
Edit:
There is a button there to "uninstall" 5.5 if you already have it.....I don't think I would try that option.
Just reinstall/overwrite.

I have IE 5.0 and I've had it before WorldSpy... I'm sure that it's some file that makes me go to WorldSpy website instead of anywhere I want. And obviously, if I downloaded the gay Juno, that would've went away. The problem is, that I no longer have Worldspy... lol. CRAP. Can anyone get me out of this hell-hole?

Did you manually delete Cookies file & Temporary Internet File in Windows folder?

The Cookies & Temp Internet is where the ?Free Internet Services? imbedded their nasty ads & enforcement.

If Del the Cookies & Temp Net files don?t do it, then uninstall IE and re-delete the 2 mention files & Worldspy file, then run Registry edit to clean out unnecessary links/residue that maybe embedded in your registry from the Free Net Service.

Good Luck

Run regedit and do a search for worldspy.com.... you may be able to find the problem that way :)
