I'm running Windows XP on NTFS right now. I want to install win98se and dual boot it with xp. I know I need to install 98se first on another partition. So I want to reformat my ntfs partition and make it fat32. but i can't figure out how to reformat this damn partition. my first instinct was to use ms-dos to format it, but i remembered that dos doesnt recgonize ntfs. then i tried to use recovery console. i typed in "format c: /fs:fat32" and i said yes, seemed like it was doing something for a bit and then it kicked me right back to the command prompt. so how the hell do i go about reformating this drive?! thanks in advance.

Boot to your XP cd. Go through setup to the disk formatting section. Remove NTFS partitions then create and format 2 FAT32 partitions. Do not install XP. Reboot and install Win98 on the first partition. Then install XP on the second partition.

How do you format a drive under XP? I installed XP and messed up the partition so I stuck in my Windows 98 startup disk and deleted the partition, but now windows won't load and all it says is "missing operatig system." How do i go about formatting the hard drive now? Thank you.
