Help for new build. error loading operating system.....

I am building new computer but having a problem while I try to load Window XP.
it went through well till it was formatted for unpatitioned HDD. I left the computer while it was processing it. then I came back 2-3 minutes later and saw it was processed 6%. then I went back to TV and came back later to see black screen with nothing.
I turned it off and on again, but I keep getting a message 'error loading operating system'. what I need to do? can you please help me out? I'll really appreciate it.

erm. that would be because no OS is installed. boot from the cd and try again.
