Hi there guys, I plan to get a new computer and eventually would like to o/c.. if you didn't notice already. I'm a newbie.. the mobo's that I'm considering are the Asus A7V133 and the Iwill KK266. The CPU I'm considering is the Athlon 1.2 GHz w/266 MHz FSB, but I'm not sure about if it's the best o/c'ing AMD CPU on the market. So I wonder what CPU I should pair up the mobo's mentioned earlier to get the best value out of processor and mobo at once. Also, any suggestions on some decent heatsink/fans? Any input on this matter would be very much appreciated.. :)

Iwill KK266 and Asus A7V133 are great selections, but why not take the DDR route? Abit has an awesome AMD 760 mobo out now, the KG7, it has 4 DIMMS and 6 PCI. If u want a great budget board, the Epox 8K7A is starting to get some great reviews also, and it costs only $135 with free shipping from Z-buy.com. Another added bonus of these two boards is that they have official support for the new Palimino athlons plus that 10% speed advantage over SDRAM.

Well, human2k gave you a good idea, but I'll give it a try ^_^. Tell us some more of what you want to do, do you want to go DDR first of all? If so, like human2k said, the 8K7A is a good motherboard for the price. Just to let you know I purchased the Msi K7T266Pror motherboard, and it has some great overclocking capabilities, read reviews at Hothardware.com, Planetsavage.net and Pchardware.ro, they all gave it good reviews. If you want to wait, Nforce and Sis735 will be out, so you could take a Look at those, but I was tired of wating and thought my Solution would be good. And Thunderbird over 1 Gig will be fine, make sure it is an Axia or AYJA or whatever it is, they are the best for overclocking. Good luck.
