Hey all, I know you all get alot of threads like this but please bear with me, any advice will be much appreciated. With that said, I'm building my first rig and need help choosing the right processor.

I already have the motherboard (asus A8N-32 SLI Deluxe) and the memory (Corsair TWINX20483500LLPRO). Now I was wondering with that MB and memory setup, what the best processor would be for a beginner to overclock with. I've been looking at the Athlon 64 4000+ or the Athlon x2 3800, but i've been reading alot of good things about the opterons, 146/148 and dual core 165/170. I don't want to spend anymore than the opty 170..(400 bones) . Will there be any issues trying to put in opty 939 in the a8n32? This rig will be used mainly for intense gaming with the usual music and movie watching and everything else that a bored college student can think of. I've never overclocked before but i want to learn all about it, and i'm willing to do anything to get there. Any information/advice will help, thanks.
