! HELP ! (Flex Installer Question)

I attempted a client install over the network to a remote client. I entered my user_info.sah file, set my local proxy, and selected the remote machine I wanted to install the client on. It appeared to go fine but when I checked my SetiQ log the client never got a WU. I browsed to the machine ( \\machinename\c$) and sure enough there's a c:\stcli directory there. Hmmm... After thinking a second I didn't include the port when I set my proxy. I use port 5512 on my SetiQ. What can I do to fix this?

I attempted a reinstall with the correct info but it didn't work. Is there a way to remotely uninstall the service? Can I correct this another way without having to interrupt the user?

Thanks!

Bump for some help.

Come on TeAm - I've got 2 clients that are gonna sit idle this weekend if I can't get them corrected remotely.

This obviously won't be too much help  but in the past I have just re-installed over the old install under similar circumstances and it has worked.....

hopefully somebody will weigh in with the knowledge...

I have done the same and it has worked for me. Try again and see if it works. If they can get to the outside try it on my queue at crazee.dns2.go.com port 5517.

If you don't include a port number, does the client default to port 80? If so, and you can't find a proper solution for this weekend, you could open port 80 in SetiQueue. Not the most convenient solution I know, especially if you already have a web server running, but it'll get you by for the weekend.

And I have a different but also FlexI related question.

Is there a way to get it to install to computers on workgroups other than your own? Right now I can only get it to see the computers in the same workgroup.

Thanks,
Swan

Thanks for the replies guys but I got busy and couldn't attempt any reinstall. I even (gasp!) stayed late an hour today! I'll manually fix it when I get in on Monday provided I don't come in to any surprizes. If we were in a race I'd probably go in on the weekend and fix them. ;)
