Help finding the name of a game...

Many years ago (1999ish) my brother showed me a game that was set in a post-apocalyptic scenario with mutants and monsters, and you could build nukes.

That's all I can remember

Anyone got any ideas what game it might be?

I only played it once, but it was pretty fun. My brother was playing (and losing, quite badly) against his roommate. He let me take over while he went to use the bathroom for the next half-hour. I wound up nearly destroying the other side before he came back.

For the record, when you've massed you're ENTIRE army at a bottle neck such as a bridge, that makes it really easy to wipe you out with thermo-nuclear explosions. Really, all my brother had to do was to throw up a meat shield of disposable critters to keep the bridge block and keep firing nukes.

I loved that game, the sequel as well.

It was great fun despite being overshadowed by the more popular RTSes.
