help finding suitable processor for asus m3a-vm

hi

I am new on this forum...And I am clueless. Am Not very knowledgeable when it comes to hardwares.

So please help me in finding suitable AMD processor for asus m3a-vm motherboard

will any of these be compatible
AMD AM2+ Quad-Core
AMD 770 AM2
AMD Phenom

I dont know the difference between these

First, are you sure about that model number? On their site, Asus does not have any links for model M3A-VM. I found these two:

If either of these is your board, click the links to that model, and click the CPU Support List tab under the pic. The list notes which BIOS rev. you'll need to support a given CPU. You'll also find links to download the latest drivers, BIOS, etc. for each motherboard.

I would suggest doing your homework for all the components you'll need for your build before you buy. If you don't already have the CPU and RAM for your model, you may find it less expensive to buy a whole new setup because DDR3 RAM currently costs less than DDR2, and AM3 CPU's are more readily avaliable.

Take some time to look around the forums. You'll find lots of help and info about various components and how they go together to make a reliable system.
