Well, I've spent about an hour looking through Miata listings on Cars.com/AutoTrader/CG and finding a Miata in my area is getting harder and harder as a I look.

I'm obviously looking to get something around 01ish, and since it's not a BMW (which is what I want, lol). I dropped my budget to around 6K and there really lisn't much to look at. Most are 90-99 with over 100K miles, the rest '01+ are mostly 9K up.

EDIT: Just to note, I'm still not very sharp with stick and with the traffic in this area....hmmm...

I know asking with so many specifications is difficult, but if anyone can donate any of their free time, I'd really appreciate it.

I'm trying to work with whatever free time I have.

Jeez, that automatic is in Ft.Lauderdale. That drive alone is an endurance race, lol.

Thanks for the find!

You're talking to a guy who's driven from FL to NH (or vice versa) seven times in the last three years, and from NH to AZ twice in the last three months. That's nothing. ;)

Yeah, the problem is that it'll turn into a week end trip (which isn't necessarily a bad thing, it is Miami, lol.)

I guess I'd have to get in contact with the seller and see what they have to say.

Get all the info/pics/etc you can, drive out with a friend (leave early), check out / buy car over lunchtime, drive home! :D

I don't know how the Miata automatics are - they might be great, they might be crappy. I'd look into that first.

Most people seem to have it in the clear, a Miata is a Miata regardless of transmissions so they say on MX-5 Forums.

This is getting interesting, and exciting. :hmm:

My biggest issue is having our family mechanic look at it before I purchase it, everyone is my family seems to do it.
