Hi, I just got a Epson CX5200 and i am trying to install the software and drivers. I keep getting a message that is putting me in the dark and i need help. Part way through the install a message comes up. NTVDM KERNEL: missing 16 bit system module.
Please re-install module to your system 32 directory.
USER.EXE
This leaves me in the dark as to how to procede. Talk to Epson support, but, they just said i had a operateing system problem. I asked them how come all the other programs i run have never had a problem. Thay could net answer that. Can anyone help and advise.
I wonder if a HP multifunction printer would have caused me the same problem?

it looks like your epson is trying to run in 16bit mode in a system that supports only 32 mode w/16bit emulation. best bet is to use it on a different machine and get a newer printer for your nt box. personally I don't use epson printers as they have a lot of driver problems, I prefer lexmark over anything else(mainly because hp is to large a company) and because lexmark pretty much only does printers/faxes/scanners.
