help.. DVD-R problems

I have dual dvd writer, and I've been burning movies fine both to DVD+R and DVD-R. I just bought Maxell DVD-R, and it appears I can burn to the disk, but non of my dvd drives can read it. They don't even recognize it. I've tried to both of my computers and two of my sisters computers and nothing.
Is it just that Maxell DVD-Rs are not compatable with the dvd drives I got?
I hope I'm doing something wrong because I bought 100 of them.

When you say none of your dvd drives can read it, do you mean just stand-alone dvd players or your PC dvd drive also?
You might have gotten a bad batch.
Sometimes you have to stick with what you know works.

I haven't tried on stand alone dvd player, only on my computers.
When you say that I got bad batch, you mean the Maxell DVD-Rs are not compatable or manufacturing defect?

Yeah, I mean that there might have been a manufacturing defect. For example, the dyes weren't spread evenly on the disc. Have you tried burning more than one disc? Sometimes a few discs in a batch are bad but the rest may work fine. And you're saying that your burner and software see the blank disc fine?

I have burned 4 disks already and non of them are good. my burner recognizes blank dvd and burn it, but afterwards, non of my dvd drives can read it nor recognizes its even there. And yes they are labled, I got them from office depot so I don't think they are fake
