HELP!!!!dsl router & netware client

I have a dsl router (SMC Barricade) connected to my university's T1 cxn (going to get DSL when I graduate in a few months). I can connect to the internet fine, but can't connect to any netware servers...I can't even see the tree. I am running W2K and tried using client32 4.8. Do I have to enable certain ports? If so, which ones?

Okay, apparently routers only handle tcp/ip and not ipx(i should have known that)....am I screwed out of accessing the netware servers?? don't tell me I am going to have to physically disconnect my router cxn and have a direct cxn every time I need to get to a netware server.

Routers by default typically don't route IPX traffic. Your router might be configurable to do it.

Another alternative is that Netware 5 can have a TCP/IP gateway. Download the latest Netware client and see if that helps. You might ask your admins if they have the TCP/IP gateway istalled/configured.
