Help! Does my ASUS P4P800SE have a bad memory controller?

I have an ASUS P4P800SE running a Celeron D 330 @ 3.34 GHZ. I have tried 2 different makes of DDR and for some reason I cannot get dual channel mode to come on. I first tried a pair of Corsair value select 512 MB DDR sticks with no luck (and some system instability). I am now running a stable configuration of 2 sticks of Crucial CL3 DDR in the blue slots @ 2.5 / 3 / 3 / 6, but still no dual channel mode. I really want to push my system and get the most out of it.

Does anyone think there is a problem with the MB?

Any thoughts? Has anyone had problems getting memory to run in dual more with the P4P800SE?
