Very unlikely!

You will need a third party utility like Partition Magic, or you will have to re-install.

i like navid said, use partition magic. i have never tried using disk management for this. it would be great if it did have that capability, becuz it'd be cheaper.

Even if it had the capability of resizing a partition, which it doesn't, how would it resize a partition that XP is booting at the time? That would be like lifting yourself up by pulling on your own shoelaces!

You will still have to backup your data before using Partition Magic. Hopefully, you will not need the backed up data. But, if things go wrong, you will be happy that you did it.

This is another utility that I have heard about. It is free too. But, I have never used it.

Another good program is Partition Commander. I find it easier to use than Magic, think it's more user friendly, and you can save a few bucks. I've been using it for 3-4 years now with 98 and XP Home.

Partition Magic can resize your boot partition. It will prompt to restart the computer if a partition that is being modified is in use or is the boot partition. It will run the utility before Windows fully boots up.
