I have no clue what happened. I was using my computer like normal. I restarted cause I installed a game. Then the video wouldnt appear on the moniter after it restarted. I was like WTF!. So i opened it up and was hoping maybe it was soem dust on the video card. I went for about an hour making sure there was no dust anywhere and making sure jumpers were fine. I then took out my ram. i turned it on and beeped cause i forgot to put it back in. So i turned it off and put 1 of the ram chips back in. I turned it on and it went into windows. So i was like, it must be the ram. so i took out that 128 and put in the other 128. It went into windows. Now i was confused. So i turned it off. and put the 128 in the second slot. it went into windows. i was like ok. so i put the other 128 in the slot 2. it got to the window screen then a blue screen came up and said it stopped to avoid damage to hardware. Im using win xp pro so you know. so i guessed thh one chip wont work in slot 2. I got my other rig out. alll the ram i got worked perfectly in all of its slots with every combination perfectly. so i got the ram chip that was in it put it in the messed up rig and it wouldnt boot. So i tried ot put the old ram back in. Now the rig wont display video at all in anyform no matter what ram i put in it. the good rig works with all of the ram chips just fine. so its not the ram. To make sure its not the video i put in the good rigs vidoe to make sure the video was fine. still didnt boot. So now here i am, got 1 rig that runs perfectly with all my ram, and i got another rig that wont beep, nor will it show video with any type of ram in it.

the good rig's specs are:
Athlon XP 2000+
Via K7VMM Mainboard
sdr and ddr ram slots
Radeon 9000 Pro 128 MBvideo

the messed up one:
Athlon XP 1800+
Via K7VMM Mainboard
sdr or ddr slots
Geforce 2 mX400 64MB

they both got the same main board.

ive only tried the sdr slots. Im getting a couple 512 ddr sticks in a few days, i hope they will work. I really dont know whta happened. I was using like normal, didnt touch a thing, and it messed up. ive also tried another power supply with the smae results. So i want to know, did i fry my main board? Please Help Me.

Try cleaning the contacts and visially inspect the card for burn't traces.
Sometimes cleaning the slot contacts and card contacts work.
I would use electronic contact cleaner which you can get at any TV shop.

try booting with NO memory. You should get a series of continous beeps which tells you that the memory is not being recognized. If no beeps you have a processor problem, PS problem or MB has bit the dust.
