i was wondering if going with a amd64 3500+ 90nm over a amd 64 3200+ 90nm would make much of a difference. im not a big over clocker ,but i might want to push on of these to 2.5ghz. so yea im kinda stuck deciding what to get.

thanks

Depends on what you're using your system for. Considering you're think about and AMD 64 you're probably a gamer or maybe you just have good taste. You won't notice any difference in clock speeds unless you have super human senses. A reason you might opt for the 3500 is you're a bench whore and want the best numbers so you can brag in this forum how neat your system is.

200MHz separates the two. Of course there's a performance difference, but exactly how much depends on the application, and you'll have to research that for yourself. If you're interested in overclocking, though, you can probably get any of the Winchesters and be fine, since they all usually top out at the same speeds on air cooling (2.6 to 2.7GHz).
