The weather is nice outside today. A crisp 60F, the air is clean and the sun is out. I also have the day off. I rock climb. I got an invite from a friend of mine to go "trad climbing", something I don't do very often (I sport climb). I climb a few grades higher then he does so it will be a walk in the park and not very challenging. On the other hand, it's a style and movement I don't do very often and I always have fun. It will almost certainly be somewhere new, and I have climbed almost every sport climb in my ability within the immediate area. I probably won't lead and I hate top roping, but following does present a good opportunity to learn about gear placement and safety.
Recently my engine died. I developed an engine knock, I replaced the spun bearings and about 50 miles later the whole thing seized. I need to replace the engine. I haven't bought one yet, and I have a lead on a hoist and an engine. I need to put some work on the car. I would like to be able to finish before it starts snowing full time. I am not very good with cars, so I work a bit slow and get stuck every now and then. I have been able to get through all hurdles in the past with a Haynes book and the internet. If I put in work today, I should be able to get out %50 of the parts needed to start pulling the engine.
I also need to do various domestic activities, all of which could wait for another day, or be spread out throughout the week. Laundry, cleaning, mow the lawn etc. I could do all of them today, and have enough time to hop on the bike and get some exorcise. Since my car died I haven't been getting a lot of exercise and have actually gained a bit of weight! So I could use it.
So ATOT do I
A. Trad climb with a friend of mine
B. Work on my car
C. Do domestic things then hop on the bike.
