Oh, the networking should not be a problem then. And about putting the laptop to run it, I have been running one for a couple of months now with no problems. I bet he is concerned about heat related problems.

You mean in the sig of a message? Go to your profile (check the nav buttons at the top of the page) and setup a link to your SETI@Home personal page.

Speaking of which...guess I should take out the link to the pic of my rigs since they're not mine anymore :(

Welcome JaneJane... Or can I just call you Jane?

Once the program is installed, the easy part is just doing nothing. :D Of course, the more the computer sits idle the better the output. :D

Welcome and good luck getting it installed... I was going to help, but it seems titanmiller has it all under control.

And we all hope to see you around here more offen.

Jane,

If you go to the "profile" link in the top right of the screen, then go to the Signature bit, to add a link to the stats on Berkeley, use the following:

[ L=My Seti Stats]http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/fcgi-bin/fcgi?email=your@email.here&cmd=user_stats_new[/L]

^ just remove this space, and change the text "My Seti Stats" to what you want to show as the text, and put in the email address you signed up for Seti with where "your@email.here" is :)

Jane,
Just be aware also that if you put a link to your SETI stats page that your email address will be showing too.

Hi Jane, welcome and congrats on asking all the right questions ;)

About stats, go here:
http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/individual.html

Put your email address in the box (the one you used to sign up with seti@home) and press the "get stats" button.
Then save that page as a Favorite you can come back to whenever you want ;)
