access D-link, we tryied from RUN>CMD>IPCONFIG and got not right IP.
Tryied from control panel to configure Network Connection, Local area Connection's TCP/IP but without any results.

Thise SH*TY DIR-655 doesen't worked for second day, i spoked to TECH guys there and they don't know what to do, it just can't go online . I was going to RMA for refund and there NEWEGG is charging 15% , decided to replace it, let see what i'll get back.
Wasted $130 for nothing, better was use my old wired one.
It's possible you got a dud. It's also possible there is an issue with PC configuration.

I assume you took the protective plastic off the DIR-655? The plastic is intended to prevent scratches during shipping, but it covers up the ventilation holes, so the DIR-655 will overheat with it on. More than a few people have made that mistake.

I also assume -- as you suggest -- that it did work for you on day one, in which case the following would not apply: Many ISPs tie your cable modem (in their system) to the MAC address of the PC or router it is connected to, and you've got to call and have them update their system before a new router will work. You call and say, "I upgraded my computer and need you to mate the cable modem to my new PC (while the router is connected)."

I assume you have the cable modem plugged into the WAN port on the D-Link and the PC plugged into one of the LAN ports. You are using standard ethernet cables, not crossover cables, correct? Yet http://192.168.0.1/ gets you nothing? In the Network control panel in windows, under network connections, did you try right-clicking on your connection and hitting Repair?

I did all of them, but nothing helped.
My D-Link is still dommy.

With DSL it was much easier: wireless ROUTER-MODEM device which was working just perfect, after switching to Cable started all my problems.
Now if i decide return to DSL, they're providing free wireless Router-Modem and what i'm gona do with thise $130 D-Link router?
Do you think is better return for refund until i got 30 day until deadline?
I have wired D-Link Cable-DSL router and it helped me just fine. I'm losing $20 for refund(15%) but not $130 and you newer know how next one gona work.
What do you think?

Still a Dummy? Why you think it is called D Link. j/k 😉

The D-Link works great if you don't have a defective one. I would swap it out for another, if that won't cost you anything.

Once you get it connected, do as I suggested -- call the cable company and tell them you got a new computer and you need them to authorize the new device.

I'm still not quite sure why you paid $129 when Frys.com has it for $99 shipped.

sorry, but that wasn't a free flash drive...

you haven't been very coherent in the posts (imho)

Post the output of your ipconfig /all
post the output of pinging your default gateway
