HELP! CS (the old style) isn't running

I recently got a new motherboard and cpu and can't get any video to work very well. I have an ati 8500dv all in wonder. Counter-Strike used to run fine (before the upgrade), but now I get 9-12 fps. Anyone have any ideas?

ok, so I just noticed the fact that my mobo says to have a video card that is +1.5v only. Anyone know if the all in wonder 8500dv is or not? I'm going to be so pissed if it's not. I can't afford a new video card!

Suggestion:
1.uninstall and reinstall all the driver (chipset, motherboard, video card)

if that doesn't work

2. back up n format

have fun with the new pc

also make sure your AGP speed is set to 8x and the video memory size match ur card..etc.

I can tell you for sure that an 8500DV will work on that board. I set a friend up with one!

his system is an Asus K8N, A64 3200+, with a 64MB 8500DV card and it works fine.

Try re-installing Direct-X also and see if that helps.

the K8N is an awesome board when setup properly, I have recently done 6 system builds on it, and it works awesome.

Ok, sorry I didn't get back sooner... Anyways, I think it has something to do with bios/jumper settings. Yes, I did reinstall (the os). I tried reinstalling the driver a couple of times, but not directx. The reason i think it is a jumper setting and/or bios setting is because when I tried to install xp 64 beta, it came up with a blue screen telling me to either upgrade my bios or get a new video card. Does anyone know what voltage the 8500dv needs? I found where I can up it to 1.6v or 1.7v. Perhaps it needs more voltage? I've heard that older cards do. Any more ideas?
