HELP: Crysis Warhead, loading problem 1st time...

Installation went w/o a hitch.
but it crashes at new game loading attempt.
Has anyone successfully loaded this game at the first attempt?
Mine stops loading at 61% every time.
I just installed latest 183.13 driver that didn't even help.
Any clue?

I didn't have that problem and I'm not so sure what could be causing that weird issue but try uninstalling, completely deleting the game folder (under C:/Program Files (x86))and then reinstalling the game.

Are you using a custom config? Try your CPU at stock settings as well. I know it might seem unlikely when your CPU seems solid at that speed otherwise, but it only takes a quick reboot to check and then you can be sure it is not the culprit.

I did try to re-install the game w/o any luck.
However the game did install and works fine with my other old gaming rig (an x64 OS).

works 100% for me on X64 with q6600 and newest nvidia drivers 178.13 on gtx260

Worked for me, 64bit, and maybe not even the latest drivers for my video cards. (Steam version, saved $10 in gas.)

I had this problem on Vista 64. It worked for a while loading games, but then got stuck on one particular save and even going back to prior saves it wouldn't successfully load past that point. Thinking it may be somehow DRM related I went to gamecopyworld and tried the cracked .exe. It worked and have since gotten through the game without issues. So you may want to give that a try.
