Help! cpu temp too hot! Probs w/ hs fan? (fan direction)

Ok, I have a Vantec hs and just replaced the original Vantec hs fan w/ a thermaltake fan for noise reduction. When I had my original fan that came w/ the Vantec hs, it blew inward towards the motherboard. Well, I tried putting this Thermaltake fan on the same way, but my hs gets way way too hot and my cpu reads 63 degrees. I have shut down my computer for now until I figure out what to do. Does anyone know how the fan is supposed to blow? Inward towards the mobo or away from the mobo? Please help me out here. All PM's would be appreciated...bumps as well....please email me if u can

*NEW* Also, I wanted to ask you guys which way the fan at the bottom of my case should be blowing. Out or sucking air in? Let me know.....want my comp. to stay plenty cool.

chadeades@hotmail.com.

Thank you guys so much!

Thanx...I turned it around and the temp max is now at 46 degrees F. Hopefully it stays at that....Oh, yeah and remind me never to drop my computer again..........Dumb me.

Air blowing towards the cpu fan and heatsink helps. Just remember to keep positive pressure inside the case.
Oh and by the way... don't drop your computer.

sorry. couldnt resist it.

now this fan at the bottom of your case..... is it really in the bottom of your case? or is it in the front side or back side in like the bottom fan position?

Yes, the fan is really at the bottom of the case...blowing out as of now. It is located in the front part of the case, but on the bottom. It almost seems pointless to me that the fan blows out as it is facing the ground. That is why I'm asking which way is correct.

I have one of those MegaSuper cases w/ the usbs in the front

Do you mean max 46 degrees C ? 46 deg F is below room temperature! If that's the reading you're getting, then obviously the utility is wrong!
