Help! CPU died during an overclock!

The culprit was a new 8gb SD card (flash memory) that I plugged into my monitor. It somehow froze the computer, and I guess it messed up the BIOS as well.
it is a bug with certain USB controllers (your monitor's card reader connects to the mobo via usb, correct?)... there are a bunch of devices that would do it... for example the ipod nano would prevent most computers from booting if plugged in during boot.
