HELP: Corrupt Hard Drive Files - Switched from Master to Slave

I recently built a new computer and I took my old hard drives out and put them in the new one.

One is 30gb, and the other is 200gb.

Originally the 200gb was the master, and the 30gb the slave.

When I put them in the new one, I changed the jumpers to make the 30gb the master, 200gb the slave.

When I booted up the computer, installed windows XP just fine on the master, I noticed on my 200gb hard drive, that some of my files had become corrupted.

I didn't format or touch any of the drive.

I was told switching from master to slave can screw it up.

What should I do to recover my files? I have some backed up on CD, but not everything.
