Help convince me....

I was at a bike store to get some stuff fixed on my bike.


Saw this SWEET looking bike, it was love at first sight.

The only catch is that it's basically 500 bucks.

Worth it? Not worth it?

no, 500 bucks is too much for a bike. Unless your one of those psychos whos all out that I see riding in the rain on the side of the road at night. I really think theyre nuts.

A bike can go easy for 2 grand...

If you bike regularly and have the extra cash. Go for it. I have 3 trek bikes of my own. One I keep around for my gf to ride, one for myself, and one for my dad.

$500 is nothing for a bicycle.

I've got the same bike and paid $500 for it with a few upgrades (steel petals, computer, etc). Excellent bike for the price.

all i can say at this point is that the bike in the picture...after trying it out, is much nicer to ride then my current bike....

and I go biking at least once a week...so no idea if that's dedication or not....

interestingly enough, i just upgraded my pedals on my current bike (they were getting cracked. Now have steel petals)

The one I got retailed for $40, but I paid ~$28 for it since I talked the guys at the bike shop down and gave them a total price I'd pay for everything.

I had a computer on my previous bike and loved having it, but the damn thing had a wire I had to run from the fork to the computer. These new ones are wireless.

Get a nice lock for your bike while you're at it. Trek's pretty high on the list for stolen bikes.

I'll be using my bike to commute to and from work when I start my new job. Nice Canondale Bad boy 02 bike I bought a few years back. Very nice to ride.
